IEC Registration Process (Step-by-Step)
- Visit the DGFT website (https://www.dgft.gov.in)
- Navigate to Services > IEC > Online IEC Application
- Enter your PAN Number and verify your details
- Fill in personal and business details as prompted:
- Name, Date of Birth/Incorporation, Captcha code
- Submit the form to verify PAN details
- Once verified, proceed to fill:
- Entity name, address, contact details
- Nature of business (Proprietorship, LLP, Pvt Ltd, etc.)
- Type of activity (Manufacturer exporter, merchant exporter, service provider, etc.)
- Bank account details
- Upload required documents in PDF or GIF format (max 5 MB):
- Address proof (Sale deed, rent agreement, electricity bill, etc.)
- Cancelled cheque or bank certificate
- Review the application details and submit online
- Make the application fee payment of Rs. 500 via Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
- On successful submission, the IEC code is issued within 1-2 working days and dispatched to your registered address
